This is a deceptively simple thought experiment.
What is the first picture of? I imagine we say "a car + something not sure". But looking at the car bit everything is fine.
Now look at the second picture. Ah ha there is a dent; the car is dented, important for insurance etc. That changes everything... or does it?
Is the car really dented? The pictures are of the same car. So we already established the "car bit" from the first picture is fine. Therefore the whole car cannot be dented. The only bit that is dented actually is the dent itself! Rest of the car is fine. So while we loosely say "my car is dented" this is not the exact truth. Most of the car is fine; the dent only extend to the dent itself not the car.
Now this very simple observation actually applies to everything: not just my car and possession, but to me also. I get a scar on my leg: am I scarred? No! I fail and exam: am I a failure? No. I die: have I died? well actually no!!!!!!
