What is wrong with Nietzsche?

So "Will to Power" is central to Nietzschian philosophy. It comes after Hegel, Marx and Darwin and is of the same kind of theory that conflict gives rise to things. But Nietzsche is a very primitive philosophy because the origin of things lies in their "Will." So all Nietzsche manages to achieve is translate the world into a realm of Will. Things struggle to be what they already are in their essence, and so there is no explanation here. It is a pointless theory.

In his Genealogy of Morality poses the interesting idea that "Morality" is a slave belief generated by the Jews while in captivity. Their masters "did what they wanted" Libertines in modern speak, and the slaves came to reject this and worship instead the attitude of servant and service. So Nietzsche comes to see Christianity as a negative philosophy that opposes all that is natural and good. Our Will seeks the power to fullful itself and this is the true meaning of good. Any philosophy that hampers or negatives this will to power is therefore bad. So,e say the Nazis were fuelled by this type of "anti-semitism" but what a load of nonsense. Jews themselves would celebrate criticism, and they would expect themselves to be able to justify themselves. I don't know explicitly of Jewish responses to Nietzsche, but there are hundreds of Jewish philosophy scholars who must have given justification. So hardly "anti-semitism"--so lets ignore that nonsense.

But there is a huge problem with Nietzsche. The problem is not whether we should try to be the King or Slave but in who is trying? Nietzsche suggests that even the Ego arises from the Will. we become whatever we need to be to fulfil that Will and if that means becoming human with an ego then so be it. But this is enshrining ontologically something completely unjustified. How does Nietzsche get to this belief in a self-contained Will that precedes all things?

Can we say that if Will exists then Nietzsche has just Willed this into existence. So by SRH we can put it in the bin as self-justifying castles in the sky. We can just put his whole philosophy in the bin as it has no justification anywhere.

And putting it in the bin is actually a very important step in philosophical progress. Because to realise that The Will has no actual foundation is a huge and profound leap forward. Perhaps Nietzsche was an important philosophy because it marks the quintessential error that so many philosophies make. we need learn Nietzsche so we can see how all these same types of philosophy are fantasy.

Marxists would simply say that Nietzsche's will stems purely from Capitalist Ego. In a world of ownership you need owners and this encourages a belief in people being entities with choice and will. But actually all this stems from the economic system. End that economic systems and these ideas cease to have meaning.

Now if we want a successful theory we need to end with something different from what we started with. You can't posit a "thing" called a Will to explain how "things" arise. Successful theories here show how things arise from interactions. Relationships become the ontolology and "things" are a product of this. So good bye Nietzsche.

So what of the Jewish serpent slithering through the rubble of Western civilisation? Well Western Civilisation is already in ruins because it posits a core being behind the beings of the world. Western civilisation has a horrible habit, compulsion even, of starting with what it ends up with. This reaches its zenith in the idea of the individual. What is the Individual made from? Western Civilisation has no answer its just a given. And from this fantasy Unicorn come all other things Ergo the whole construction is a unicorn and is already in ruins. Bombing the world to spread Liberal Democratic Capitalism is just bombing people who do not believe in Father Christmas and just like the spread of Christmas and Father Christmas around the globe the West spreads other fantasies like Individual and democracy. Nietzsche imaging that Jewish slave ideas corrupting an otherwise bold, proud and free West is just fantasy. The snake slithering through the West is this idea of a intrinsic self upon which even Nietzsche's philosophy is uncritically based.

Now I'm no expert in Nietzsche and perhaps I have his philosophy wrong. Perhaps the Will is an undifferentiated field from which individuals arise. And the Will manifests itself as individuals in order to fulfil its Will. In which case the Will to Power is just an illusion of an underlying Will who assumes superficial entities and apparent conflict and Power between them just in order to fulfil itself. This actually seems like a reasonable philosophy as it gives a satisfactory explanation for how things arise from the void. But we would then interpret the Aristocratic Will to Power which Nietzsche upholds as the true and free nature of unoppressed or repressed humans as simply in the service of a the Greater Will. We as individuals only fulfil our own desire so that the Greater Will can fulfil its. In which case the Jew Religions which asks us to serve a master God are also fulfilments of the Greater Will! Everything just becomes a manifestation of the Greater Will. Again nothing is explained. Its purely epiphenomenal.

Whichever way you turn you cannot actually arrive at a justification of Nietzsche's vision of Will without first positing a self-contained entity. And as is often the way his philosophy appears to be a myth written to embody a preconceived belief.

What we are left with in fact is the importance of the Jewish religion! We might say that the simple will is just the animal will, where we try and do what we want, and then when thwarted develop ever more complex strategies to get what we want. And that's about all we can say of Nietzsche's philosophical scope.

The next level is realising actually the futility of serving our own will. You may develop the power to fulfil your Will, but who ever gains the increased power to be master of their own will? The Hindus say that it takes a great man to command an army, but the greatest to command themselves. Now this is Hegel. To accept commands from oneself we first need to accept commands from someone else. And so servitude is an essential part of the path to freedom! So in fact everything that Nietzsche holds up as honourable is really just the path to uncontrolled desires and slavery to those desires! Perhaps Nietzsche is not so naive as Aristocratic society is actually all about rules and restraint. In fact the Upper Classes are jealous of the freedom of the peasants. Peasants can drink and sleep around and live carefree lives without the scrutiny of society. Aristocrats on the other hand can never be seen to lose control, or become embarrassed or humiliated, and while they may try and be free it must all be done under cover away from the eyes of society. They live in constant fear of being found out, exposed and humiliated. And everyone seeking power is after them and looking to bring them down. Quite ironically Nietzsche's "free" Aristocrats are actually the least free, an their Will to power is hopelessly entangled with the demands and slavery of self preservation and protection of the status and capital. The free quickly learn to abandon ALL OF THIS pointless worldly struggle.

So its all a nonsense.
