I have an offer of £250 amongst friends for anyone who can find a mention and criticism of Capitalism or America in the MSM. Rory Stewart discussing ignorance in politics and failures of politicians. But what is the elephant in the room here?
We live under Capitalism, which means that the people who make the choices in this country are not the politicians but the Owners! and how do you become an Owner... once hereditary but now you buy it. So the wealthy are the owners and the owners make the decision. So we live in a Plutarchy not a Democracy. Mr Stewart does not seem to appreciate this.
And what is the first thing that the wealthy do? They fund the careers of politics and "buy them." This is just standard corruption, but while corruption in places like Russia and China is considered a bad thing, it is written in to the very fabric of Western politics. No where else in the world does anyone support the wealthy buying politicians except in Capitalism. So really the problem with this show is that Rory Stewart is just another ignorant politician.
