It is very easy to see who pays the salaries of journalists in this country and it isn't the government. Having been charged £80 by our "top" highly recommended dentist--who is good for basic stuff-- to be told he couldn't do the work we got referred to the NHS. Unbelievably good service. This dentist seems to be a kid barely out of college and yet had a deep understanding of the patient (explained that she had observed the presence of existing filling and used the existing muscle memory to perform the inspection). The public sector had no problem finding 4 cavities missed by our "top" private dentist. And then charges £23. I literally have never seen any reason for the UK to have a private sector at all (except so that the international rich can extract wealth from the country and the poor). And yet despite there being just a vague religious zealotry for private sector there is no evidence it does anything. I suspect it goes back to the US and the century of wars the Americans have waged against the public sector both in UK and abroad so that their Capitalists can reign in all the cash and become the richest country on the planet. Now they are the richest they think they can continue to take the world over... well the rise of the Right Wing is going to put pay to any foreign interventions in our politics and economics from now on. Imperialism/Globalism and Capitalism is collapsing (at last). Even in the US the people are sick of it. While the Capitalist Media call it "right-wing" actually right wing means The Establishment. What they call the "right" is really the "left" and that means politics that represents the people not the ruling Capitalist/Feudal elites... this is why they hate it soooooooo much. I wonder at the end of it whether Elon Musk is going to have a rude awakening that the so called "deep state" is not as corrupt as he thinks and the real drain is the banks, financial sector and Capitalists like himself. That "Angel Heart" moment when Harry Angel realizes that he is Johnny Favorite.
A search for happiness in poverty. Happiness with personal loss, and a challenge to the wisdom of economic growth and environmental exploitation.
