How fascinating this really illustrates a particular type of thinking.

I say "Jew" because in this blog "Jewish" thinking has been described as ultimately limited to ensure that it remains Jewish. Needing to be "Jewish" will always put a constraint on such thinking. And people who see themselves as ontologically "Jewish" start from a position lacking freedom because they can never think anywhere that questions this.

Of course many people have such fixed ontological starting positions that limit their thinking, but Jews are famous for placing this in the hands of God and so really cementing it.

So what is wrong with infinity? Well using infinite lists you can be sure of fixed points, and then you can be sure of contradictions which is the essence of the Inconsistency Theorem of Godel. Its corollary the incompleteness is just the other side of the same coin.

So if you want to have systems that can prove themselves they must be finite, and then you can weed out the contradictions and have self consistency.

And that is the goal of this "Jewish" type of thinking: to be able to hold the whole world in your hand, perfect and complete.

However to do this we have to limit the power of the system to finitude. Which means we have to place a boundary on it.

And the whole point of Jewish thinking is that Full Self Reference is then possible. An entity can know itself. Intuitively this is a nonsense already. Such a construction sets up an entity and a knowledge of the entity as separate things, and then asks for them to be the same. Thought smells.

This blog names the impossibility of Full Self Reference (SRH). The placing of a boundary is an meta event that implies a new system. It will be interesting to see whether the Jews can really make everything Jewish!
