So New Scientist is asking whether a unified approach could help with all the planet's problems.
I was reminding myself the other day that the single best thing you can do for the planet is have no children.
Humans play an important part in this world so humans should not have no children at all, but moderation is the key and we are no longer moderate under Capitalism. Everything else is a subsidiary of this basic truth.
Do we need a joined up approach to solve this? Only in so far as we break the joined up approach that is Capitalism. No we don't need a job, no we don't need shop, no we don't need to invest, no we don't need owners and no the politicians can ignore the budget. The majority of the work done on this planet is entirely voluntary and comes with no monetary value (think child care or breathing or the sun shining--which is the most work done by anything), so why this obsession with Capitalism? Capitalism is just the class system rewritten as economics, ensuring that you have superior and inferior people. #EndCapitalism #EndEconomics
